The Teh Tarik Boys Club

In holiday of deepavali, i spent my time in my room to make the website of "Teh Tarik Boys Club". Since i used Macromedia Dreamwaver in making the website, there are a lot of troubles that i got. From input the picture to dreamwaver, i spent more than 2 hours, and arranging the table that make me confused at that time, but finally on saturday night i can finish it, and based on my learning log, i will start to make the advertisement of "Teh Tarik Boys Club" on tuesday, and i hope there is no a lot of trouble that i will reach in making its advertisement...Good luck for everyone who is doing this project also...:)

Wikipedia as the last project??

one professor in US, has a unique idea for his students as the last project. He prefer to ask his students to edit the contents of wikipedia rather than make the final report. A professor who is named Martha Groom from washington university gave that task for his students in order to improve the writing skill of his students. That task is given because he investigated that the contents of wikipedia do not complete, moreover he knew that there are still a lot of information from wikipedia that is not accurate which can give some disadvantages for its reader. Beside that writing and editing task the contents of wikipedia is one form of new transformation in writing final report, and as the result, the writing in media online is better than the writing in final report that is usually given as the last project. By giving that task, the students will become more challenging in doing that task because they know that the reader of their writing is not only a professor, but also all people around the world.

Google-Cell phone projects

At this moment, google as one of most popular media in internet, announce about the software that is developed to cell phone. That software is called as Android. That software offers operation system in cell phone that make internet connection from cell phone will be faster than before. This software will bring internet to the cell phone, indicating that everywhere and anywhere, the users of cell phone can used their phone to connect internet with high speed connection. This software is given freely by google to the hardware's produsen that is hoped can make the cost of cell phone will be cheaper in the next. Until now, there has been 4 hardware's produsen have done relationship with google in applicating this software.They are Samsung,LG,HTC, and Motorola. First cell phone with google's software will be launched in the first of year 2008.

Microsoft launched unified communication in Indonesia

Indonesia is one of the 4 countries in Asia beside South Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore that was launched by the new product from Microsoft that is called Unified Communication. That launching was done in Jakarta; 1st October, with Nortel and HP as partners in developing communication technology in Indonesia. "In Asia, Indonesia is one of the countries that adopted high Unified Communication technology" said lukman susetio. Today, there are 3 companies have been used this solution. They are PT.Excelcomindo pertama, PT.Sinar Niaga Sejahtera, and PT.Petrosea TBK. This solution is not only combining some communication facilities but also make simple some access to some facilities, like email, instant messaging, telephone, and video confrencing in one application. By adopting Unified communication, telephone infrastucture and information technology become one that make cost of investation and operational will be cheaper.

Culminating portfolio

Culminating portfolio is the last project for all students of TGJ4M. In this project, all students are asked to promote one restaurant "THE TEH TARIK BOYS CLUB". In that promotion the students have to design an appealing menu by using MS.Publisher, design a simple website by using MS.Frontpage or Macromedia dreamwaver, and also design a 30-45 second video advertisement. This project is hoped can be finished in 15 hours. I hope all of the TGJ4M students can enjoy for the last project.hehe.. I know that this is difficult, moreover there are a lot of ISU for other subjects, but i hope all of us can finish it until the last for this month. Good Luck in doing this project.:)

game online VS AIDS

Today, UNICEF try to fight AIDS in Africa by using internet. UNICEF created game online in swahili language in order to teach about sexual education. That game was named Ungefanyaje, that means "what would you do?". All of the players have visual identity and interact with others to play scenario about sex story. In that interaction, information about the important of preventing AIDS are inserted. UNICEF predicted that there are 80% of young african did not know how to prevent AIDS safely. There are 2,3 millions people have been inducted AIDS nowadays in Africa. UNICEF hoped that that game can be one of the effective tool to prevent AIDS in Africa. More than 100 million African, like kenya, Uganda, Tanzania,and Congo use Swahili language.

Microsoft got facebook VS Google took myspace

nowadays, social network situs is improving that make Microsoft and Google have to compete between each other. To get 1,6% part of facebook, Microsoft have to spend more than 240 million US dollar, indicating facebook have been priced about 15 billions US dollar. Facebook first time was launched in 2004 by Harvard Mark Zuckerberg student. Facebook claimed that can attract more than 250 thousand users in which 60% of them are from outside of US. Today, the users of facebook have been more than 50 million users. Kevin Johnson, President of microsoft believes that the users of facebook will be more than 300 million by the end of this year. While, google which fail to get facebook, has made cooperation with other social network situs. It was myspace. In that aggrement, google will offer browse services and advertises for myspace users that almost 110 million users in the world. This is not the first time that google and microsoft compete in getting social network situs. Google ever defeated microsoft to reach youtube that was priced 1.65 billions US dollar. Beside that google also got DoubleClik, and Microsoft bought aQuantive. Microsoft make prediction that advertisements in internet nowadays have been 40 billion US dollar per year, and it will increase twice by 3 years later.
